Over the top 2 floors of this Belgravia penthouse we transformed the space to create a light and contemplative backdrop to the owners own sculpture collection and studio.
This grade 2 listed building had to be carefully renewed to meet an exacting specification and the busy lives of a family. As an artist, our client was keen for us to work closely with them on every aspect of the design development, from space planning through to lighting details and onto the complex metalwork installation that formed a visual centre piece to the master bedroom.
Location and orientation of our client sculpture around the house was an important part of the narrative in this setting and as a result client choices in materiality and lighting were carefully considered. Being a home we also had to think practically about details of everyday living, from study to bedroom spaces and childrens bathrooms. A harmonious balance of rich materiality and light.
