Restoration and extension of Grade II listed building in Westminster

This Grade II listed building, constructed between 1830-35 forms part of the Bayswater Conservation Area and has been deteriorating after a significant fire. Substantial restoration work will combine the essence of beautiful period detailing with new contemporary spaces, a restrained and considered design approach will be taken towards the all new additions alongside the historic fabric. An existing labyrinth of basement rooms will be removed and replaced with a pool to serve the client enthusiasm for swimming. To further reduce the impact on this listed building and its neighbours, an odourless pool with crystal clear water and a sympathetic pool system is proposed. This innovative approach to filtration and sterilisation satisfied the clients brief and strict council requirements resulting in a successful planning approval and listed building consent.
