We are delighted to be featured in the Homes and Property section of the Evening Standard for our project, Sash House. An excellent double-page write up by Philippa Stockley, exploring the challenges of the traditional Victorian Bayswater terrace house and how we overcame these to create a light-filled, open-plan and stylistic design.
“A three-storey extension with a soaring window and a magnificent sculptural wooden staircase that opened up this house and let the light flood in.” Phillippa Stockley.
Through eliminating the property’s existing half landings, installing a slim-folded metal, winding staircase and fitting a large counterbalanced glazed sash to the back of the property, we created an elegant, functional series of spaces for the client and their young family to live in. Thank you, Philippa and the Evening Standard, for featuring us.
